Experimenting with 3D Printed Textiles

I only recently learning Arduino, program, and other mechatronics skills. Before that, I was most adept at CAD and some hands-on skills usually reserved for crafting. In this project, I chose to connect my love for sewing and textiles with 3D printing. Inspired by @sewprinted, I got together a team to learn the best techniques for 3D printed textiles. This was my first design project as a fellow of the SyBBURE Searle Undergraduate Research and Design Program. It’s a little silly, but the skills I learned are serious.

@lc.makes what if we learned how to 3D print fabric together? 🥹👉👈 (PLA on Gold Silk, Printed with an Ender, Sliced in Cura- follow along for more #3dprintedfashion) #3dprinting #fashion #womeninstem #engineering #docoolstuff ♬ original sound - wisdm.mari

I recap many of my projects on TikTok because the world needs more engineers to solve the most pressing problems.
